Paphiopedilum purpuratum (Lindl.) Stein

Synonyms:
Paph. sinicum

Paph purpuratum

Limited distribution along the coastal area's of South Eastern China.  Was collected in the new territories of Hong Kong back in the early eighties.   

The plant can be a little difficult to grow in culture, seems to like open well draining mixes.
